Most photo filenames are useless. IMG_3847.jpg is a serial number. A date-based rename gets you 2025-11-30_14-22-07.jpg, which tells you when the shutter clicked, and nothing else. You still have to open the file to know if it's the beach shot, the whiteboard photo, or the product image you need.
